Identification of Reed-Berezovsky-Sternberg cells in lymphatic nodes in classic Hodgkin's lymphoma by flow cytometry: a clinical case series

چکیده

Despite their B cell origin, Reed-Berezovsky-Sternberg tumor cells (RBS) in classic Hodgkin's lymphoma (cHL) demonstrate an absolutely unique phenotype. Immunohistochemistry of RBS is positive for CD15 antigen most cases, CD30, PAX-5; they do not express the T CD3, В CD19, and cases are negative CD20, as well common leukocyte CD45. Taking into account such unequivocal immunophenotype, can be identified by multiparameter flow cytometry. Thus, J.R. Fromm et al. (2006, 2014) have convincingly shown possibility to identify a puncture and/or biopsy sample lymphatic nodes cHL were fair opinion that rather simple reproducible technique cytometry could additional diagnostic instrument cHL.
We tested proposed assessment node involvement used 8 10-parameter detection samples node, confirmed feasibility high performance also performed morphological immunohistochemical from patients with suspected cHL. The study included clinical immunohistochemically (n = 8), control those other diagnoses than lymphoma. In all we found cells. future plan analyze larger case

Nodular sclerosis Hodgkin lymphoma with classic Reed-Sternberg cells.

A 15-year-old young man presented to the emergency department with a 3-week history of sharp left-sided chest pain, shortness of breath on exertion, and a low-grade intermittent fever. Chest radiograph revealed increased density in the upper left lobe, thus he was treated with antibiotics for query pneumonia. Although his fever subsided, the patient continued to have chest pain, and subsequentl...

Evaluation of DNA-content of Peritoneal Lavage Cells by Flow Cytometry in Patients with Gasteric Cancer

Background & Aims: Gastric cancer is the second common cancer in Iran and it has unfortunately no diagnostic signs in early stages. Considering the role of genetic and environmental factors in the development of gastric cancer, this study aimed at evaluating DNA-content of stomach cells in patients with gastric cancer in order to find a reliable index for prediction of disease prognosis and pro...

Aberrant expression of cyclin a correlates with morphogenesis of reed-sternberg cells in Hodgkin lymphoma.

Reed-Sternberg (RS) cells represent a histopathologic hallmark for Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Viral proteins may induce aberrant expression of cyclin A and lead to multinucleation in virus-infected cells. We investigated whether Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) latent membrane protein-1 (LMP1) and cyclin A are involved in the morphogenesis of RS cells. We immunohistochemically analyzed "individual" tumor c...
